What is your background?
I am an entrepreneur with diplomas in Business and Management and I have experience teaching preschool.
What motivates you?
I am a social worker motivated by politics.
What are the biggest challenges facing your ward?
Lack of adequate water because of old pipes, sewerage pipe bursts and inefficient garbage collection.
What are some of the projects you have done in your tenure?
I have spearheaded the installation of five manual boreholes and three solar boreholes. I bought 100 chairs for Area E Hall and an additional 100 chairs for Area H. I also bought 100 beds for a full day creche in our Ward, industrial stoves and big pots. I was also involved in connecting borehole water to the creche. I purchased 30 swivel chairs for the District Office, a generator, one computer and installed a gate. I also built a durawall for the community library. I managed to achieve this using 10% retention funds.
What do you aim to achieve before you finish your term?
l want to build public toilets at New Marimba Park and tower lights before my term ends.
What challenges do you face as a public official?
Political muscle and interference.
